Edinburgh airport is the main international airport serving the city of Edinburgh in the Scotland and can be found 10km west of Edinburgh city centre.
Terminals
Edinburgh airport has one passenger terminal with two levels and an extension.
The ground level handles check-in and domestic and international arrivals. The level offers a prayer room, information desk, food, drink and retail concessions, international baggage claim area and lost and found.
The first level handles boarding flights, with gates 1 to 9 on the left and gates 10 to 23 on the right. The level offers VIP lounges, food, drink and retail concessions. Note that passengers can get to boarding gates 13 to 23 easily using the travelator.
The east extension is where you can find shops, duty free shops, food concessions, children’s play area, pharmacy and staff offices.
Check-in
You should check your ticket or contact your airline for advice on check-in times as it’ll help you know when you should get to the airport. We recommend that you arrive at least two hours prior to the departure of your flight to allow plenty of time.
When you arrive at Edinburgh airport, you’ll be able to find the check-in areas that’re visibly signposted within each terminal, where you can check the flight information screens at the entrances. If you’ve checked in online and have your boarding pass, you can take your hand luggage and go directly through security to the departure lounge.
